Charles Geller, LCSW, DCSW

Charles Geller is the Clinical Director of the Chesapeake Counseling Center. He is recognized throughout the region for his specialization in the area of domestic violence. Mr. Geller offers Anger Management and Domestic Violence Intervention Programs for perpetrators of emotional and physical abuse, and has presented these programs to national audiences.

Individual treatment and support groups for victims of abusive relationships, and specialized individual and group programs for children of abusive households and victims of trauma are available. Counseling is also

Available for depression, anxiety, stress, marital issues, and for difficulties with adjustment to significant life events.

Mr. Geller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, completing his graduate training at Tulane University in 1977. He is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, and has been awarded the status of Diplomate of Clinical Social Work for advanced clinical practice. Mr. Geller is certified by the Virginia Board of Psychology as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider. He achieved full clinical membership in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a charter member of the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists. He has been a consultant to and provided training for local Court Services, Chesapeake Police Academy, School Board Administration, and Departments of Social Services and Public Health. Mr. Geller has been a guest expert on the local news programs in the area is of marital relations and domestic violence/spouse abuse.
